Tonight I thought I would add some pictures of my craft room. It has evolved over the years from a scrapbook room to a scrapbook/clay/quilting room! I love going in there and losing myself in whatever project I happen to be on that day. I especially love being in there early on the weekends before anyone else is awake...with coffee of course!

Good Afternoon!

I added a few items to the right of the blog. The first is a picture of the new Three Jacks pattern that will be available in the Etsy store very soon. It is an adorable fall wall hanging of you guessed it, three jack-o-lanterns! This will be a great addition to your fall decor. It's an easy fusible applique' and blank stitch project. It measures 20.5" x 17" inches.

The second item is an invitation to join the Quilt Cabana Patterns (QCP) mailing list. Just send me an email with your address and I'll be happy to add you to the list. This will be a fun newsletter with upcoming information and quilting news. I'm not sure if this will be weekly or monthly...haven't decided yet!

The third item is an invitation to help QCP support a very worthy charity named Wrap Them In Love. I have supported this group in the past and it is a rewarding experience for the recipient of the quilt as well as the quilter. The link to their website is listed there and you can also view the baby quilts my Brownie troop donated as well.

Warmly,
Sandi

My Etsy Store Is Up and Running!

I spent today setting up my Etsy store which you can link to from the right panel or you can log onto http://www.quiltcabanapatterns.etsy.com/.

I have posted the Sweet Butterfly Three Panel Wall Hanging for sale on the store site. It is a beautiful 3 piece wall hanging that is perfect for any little girl's bedroom or playroom. The sweet butterfly travels across the panels leaving a trail behind. The pattern is selling for $9.00. Stop by the store and take a look.

Each panel measures 14.5" x 14.5" and you can make all three or just one. My mother recently made the last panel and it will fit perfectly in a smaller space. The wall hangings are made with fusible applique' and blanket stitching that serves as the quilting. It's fun and easy to make and is a wonderful gift.

I am also very excited to add a link to Allison Holmes' store on Etsy. Allison creates truly inspiring paper crafts and also has crafting supplies for sale on her store. You can find her link under the "Links I Love" category on the right panel. Or you can log on directly at http://www.allison29.etsy.com/.

Warmly,

Sandi

Welcome to Quilt Cabana!

I am so excited about the start of this blog and my new business, Quilt Cabana Patterns! I taught myself how to quilt a few years ago and now I am designing my own patterns. I will be opening a shop on Etsy soon and I hope everyone will stop by to see what's new.

I live in Massachusetts with my very loving and supportive husband, Greg, and my three awesome and beautiful daughters...Amanda, Lindsey, and Leah! I work part time designing quilts and polymer clay projects. You might have seen some of those projects in Pack-o-Fun magazine or on the Polyform Products website. I also have a scrapbook layout published in Memory Makers magazine and two humorous articles published in Polymer Cafe' magazine. I am also working on several quilts for a future book with Leisure Arts.

I want to thank my mom, Judy, for the pattern testing and proof reading services she provides!

The first pattern that will be up for sale is the Sweet Butterfly Three Panel Wall Hanging. It is an adorable wall hanging that will brighten any little girl's room. It is fun and easy to make with fusible applique' and blanket stitching that serves as the quilting for this project. I'll post a picture and link to Etsy once I am up and running.

Come by often and see what's new at the Quilt Cabana!

Warmly,

Sandi
